The origins of Spremberg Castle go back to a water and swamp castle from the 13th century. Remains of a square and a round tower are still preserved today. Branitz Castle is located in the heart of the parkland, surrounded by the gardens of the pleasure grounds like a noble jewel. Prince Pückler had the late baroque castle, once the manor house of his ancestors, extensively rebuilt from 1846 onwards.
