The cliffs are made of silt and sand. After rain there is a danger of landslides. Some places, especially in front of the Cup Drastis, are already showing cracks. Please enjoy the view with caution and consideration.

Very high and very steep cliffs. The narrow beach can only be reached via a (as of June 2024) dilapidated wooden plank path with broken stairs.

Here ships from Italy reached protected waters again after crossing the open sea and ships on the way there could wait for favorable weather in Kassiópis. For example, Cicero and Emperor Nero stayed in the city for a few days.

the hike around the mountain is recommended. the peak is the ugliest i have ever come across. it was vandalized with dozens of aerials and visited by car by lame-footed tourists
