The 40-meter-high tower is visible from afar and dominates the city's skyline. Yet one thing is clear: the secular building is not intended to overshadow the sacred main church. Amidst the red of the town hall, the golden clock immediately catches the eye. Likewise, the decorative coat of arms of the city of Kamenz, in the form of a relief coat of arms beneath the clock. Directly above the entrance is a counter commemorating the city's 800th anniversary. Starting at 800 on August 22, 2022, it counted backward 800 days to the beginning of the anniversary year on January 1, 2025, and has been counting upwards ever since. The Hochstein, also called Sibyllenstein (Sibinnen-Stein, Sibillenstein or Sybillen-Stein), Upper Sorbian Žiwiny, is a 449-metre-high mountain in Upper Lusatia in the Saxon district of Bautzen. It is the highest elevation in the Northwest Lusatian Uplands and the highest mountain in Upper Lusatia north of the A4.

Kamenz is a beautiful town...and has a fantastic market square..

If the trees around weren't so high then there would definitely be a great view :) otherwise a nice place to collect information and to rest

Small zoo but with lovingly maintained facilities. The bears are a highlight and of course the petting enclosure.

The Kamenz town hall in its red dress right on the market square is very nice to look at and has been renovated. A real eye-catcher.
