The castle, its park and the surrounding ponds form a wonderful ensemble.

The Hochstein, also called Sibyllenstein (Sibinnen-Stein, Sibillenstein or Sybillen-Stein), Upper Sorbian Žiwiny, is a 449-metre-high mountain in Upper Lusatia in the Saxon district of Bautzen. It is the highest elevation in the Northwest Lusatian Uplands and the highest mountain in Upper Lusatia north of the A4.

The lodge and the King John Tower on the summit are closed because the tenant and the municipality are at loggerheads with each other. Let's hope that both parties can come to an agreement at some point.

If the trees around weren't so high then there would definitely be a great view :) otherwise a nice place to collect information and to rest

Rammenau Castle in Bischofswerda is one of the best preserved baroque castles in Saxony.

...to the old water art with the remains of the city wall, to the Mühlbastei, Ortenburg and Michaeliskirche, to the water tower and to the St. Petri Cathedral.

The water tower with the museum is one of the few accessible towers in Bautzen. 3.50 euros entry and you can go up and enjoy the view from above of the roofs of the old town, the Spree and the Friedensbrücke.
