Lilliput Castle "... nothing stays as it is, nothing is finished in any way. Pure creation, anew every day. A growing organism, not a soulless, aggressive block." There are no works of art to admire in this house, because the house itself is a work of art, as crazy and eccentric as its name. Inspired by the architecture of the visionary Friedensreich Hundertwasser, the owner Steffen Modrach designed (and still designs!) his property into a colorful fantasy world. The facades of the house and yard consist of millions of colorful individual parts, of objects such as cups, buttons and garbage. Again and again you discover new intelligent and humorous details, hands that protrude from the wall or bizarre figures that follow you with their eyes. The large, artistically designed garden is also extremely worth seeing. The owner of the castle is happy to guide visitors through his inspiring realm after making an appointment by telephone.

The Protestant parish church “St. Marien” is a listed church building in the small town of Doberlug-Kirchhain in the Elbe-Elster district in southern Brandenburg. The church, which was built in the 13th century, is one of the oldest buildings in the Kirchhain district, which was an independent town until 1950 and has had city rights since the 15th century. The church is a medieval three-aisled brick building with a five-sided choir built in the 13th century. In the west of the central nave there is a late Romanesque, slightly retracted west transverse tower, which probably once belonged to a single-nave village church that originally existed here and is crowned by two slated bent helmets. Over time, after several changes, a late Gothic brick basilica was built. The church originally had three tower structures, which, however, had to be demolished in 1590 due to their disrepair and were replaced by today's two pointed helmets. In 1899 the building was extensively restored. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadtpfarrkirche_St._Marien_(Kirchhain)

The church tower, which today has a double spire from 1737, is the remains of a small Romanesque church that dates back to the 12th century. The nave is vaulted by a wooden barrel decorated with paintings from the 18th century. The church can be visited every day, at least from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Source: https://www.doberlug-kirchhain.de/katalog/visitenkarte.php?mandat=45288

The history of the mill is very well described on a display board. It's worth just sitting on one of the benches by the mill and looking at the vastness of the landscape.

The Trebbus post mill is a wonderful place to experience the landscape and the technology of that time.
