To mark its 20th anniversary in 2013, the Elsterschloss-Gymnasium Support Association commissioned the creation and installation of an art installation on the grounds of the present-day Elsterschloss-Gymnasium. As part of the "Art at the Castle" project, a bronze casting model of Elsterschloss Elsterwerda was created. Unfortunately no restaurant operation. On the weekend there will probably be coffee and cake. But some WE are also closed societies, so call ahead

Very nice castle with a great park and some ancient trees.

At this point, the Black Elster cycle path is not paved. It runs along a narrow embankment. Beautiful, but very narrow with oncoming traffic and pedestrians to be overtaken.
