The nine-axis Baroque main building of the Wendelsheim castle estate was built in 1758 under Rhinegrave Carl Magnus by court architect Leonard Reichel. Only suitable for Burgstall fans. Not easy to climb (without a rope ;-). Consists of the castle hill without remains of walls with a sunken inner surface and ring wall, remains of a corner wall (tower) of a wall can be seen to the south-east. On the mountain side a huge ditch has been deepened... all the treasures that have probably been tumbled in from the castle... Down on the hiking trail the former outer bailey as a plateau with a bench and a view of the town that has meanwhile become very green. Like I said: only for castle fans. ;-)
