In 1879, a drywall lookout tower was built on Hohenberg 551.9. The almost 9 m high, cone-shaped pyramid was restored and reopened on May 1, 2019.

One of the climbing destinations around Annweiler. I was up there once. The normal route in three pitches was a little adventure. Right next to it is the climbing hut with a nice refreshment stop.

A rock that can be seen from afar and has long been known as a climbing paradise.

Also good for non-far hikers, as you can get there very close by car. Directly above the climbing hut. Those who like it further can of course still go up the Rehbergturm and the Trifels. A wonderful way.
