I can only confirm what you write. With the temperatures at the moment, this route is very easy to drive. Due to the vegetation, you almost always drive in the shade. What I miss is that there are few rest areas along the route. This has already been taken into account on the St.Wendler Land cycle route. I would have been happy about a stopover.

From the valley bridge in Oberkirchen, on the Fritz Wunderlich cycle path in the direction of Freisen, you have a connection to the new Sankt Wendeler Land cycle path in Freisen. It is almost finished up toTurkishmühle, but can already be driven. In Wolfersweiler you have to exit and drive part of the way to Nohfelden on the old bike path. Very nice paved bike path, which should be ready by 2023 to Nonnweiler.
