Today the ice pond was actually frozen over.

In the meantime, the food has improved somewhat, and word has apparently gotten around, as the anglers' home is being visited again.

Zoo is perhaps a bit exaggerated...

Unfortunately, the restaurant has reduced the scope of the offer and the quality of the food so much that I can no longer recommend the food there - a shame.

The Mainz Zoo is not an animal park in the normal sense, but various species of animals are kept in enclosures distributed throughout the city. In addition to red deer, fallow deer and mouflon, other animal species can also be seen in Gonsenheim.
