Monte Kali is the spoil dump of the Heringen potash mine. This dump, along with the spoil dump of the Philipsthal potash mine a few kilometers away, is so characteristic of the landscape that it has given the region the nickname "Land of the White Mountains." From this small covered rest area, you have a good view of Monte Kali.
