The tall spire of St Peter's can be seen for miles, especially from the south and the hills that surround Peterchurch. It is also the last resting place of Pt Robert Jones VC, who was awarded the honour for a desperate action at Rorkes Drift.

Worth a look in the churchyard to see the grave of Private Robert Jones VC, who was awarded the Victoria Cross from the Battle of Rorkes Drift (1879)

This shows the winding nature of the Teme in these parts, plus it is the only crossing point for some distance in both directions.

The cathedral—a bishop's church—in the city of Worcester is a building steeped in history, with a Christian tradition spanning nearly a thousand years. Construction of this church began in 1084, shortly after the Norman conquest of England (by William the Conqueror, formerly Duke of Normandy, then King of England, in 1066).
