Refuge with a few benches above a spring. There is now a new pig house a few kilometers away.

We stopped there. Even when the hut is closed, there is plenty of space and seating outside

There are really great places to rest at this hut, the benches are set up very carefully and you have a great view from here. It was also open today and the ice-cold drinks were good in the heat.

The Rahnenhof is named after its last owner among the Leiningen counts, namely Johann Jacob Rahn (1744 – 1816). After his death, the (previously named) "Ludwigshoff" was given the name "Rahnenhof".
