살리에르부르크 슈타우프는 약 1000년경 콘라트 폰 케른텐에 의해 설립되었습니다. 울리히 폰 슈타우프(1175년), 츠바이브뤼켄 공작(1238년부터), 하인리히 폰 스폰하임(1378년부터), 나사우와 자르브뤼켄 영주(1500년부터)가 이 성의 소유주였습니다. 1525년 농민 반란 때 성은 파괴되어 이후 사람이 살지 않게 되었습니다. 30년 전쟁(1648년) 이후 슈타우프 마을 재건을 위한 채석장으로 사용되었습니다. 이곳은 팔츠 지역에서 가장 오래된 살리에르부르크입니다. 마지막 소유주는 아이젠베르크 출신의 기에난트 가문이었습니다. 오늘날 이 성은 아이젠베르크 시 소유입니다.
