The four of us had an absolutely fantastic meal there. Both the fish and meat dishes were cooked to perfection. The starters and desserts were also very tasty. All Demeter-certified. It's not exactly cheap, but it was incredibly good.

The hiking lodge had opened its beer garden, which was very well attended given the great weather.

The Zavelstein hiking lodge is a popular starting point for hikes and bike tours. In spring it is surrounded by wild crocuses - in summer, green meadows surround the hiking lodge. At this crossroads of many hiking trails there is a large clearing with a shelter. From there there is also a line of sight down into the valley.

The "Yach" (Eyach) was first mentioned in 1148. The settlement arose around the Mahlmühle ("Eyachmühle"), the "Lehensägmühle" and the former Dobler village sawmill. The first sawmill at this location is mentioned in 1423. However, there is evidence of the use of hydropower from the Eyach from earlier centuries. The Eyachmühle, after which the district is named, ceased operations in 1894 when the water power of the Mannenbach, which drove it, was used for the pumping station of the Dobler drinking water supply. It is approx. 2 km to the Sommerberg cable car and the "five trees". So there is less hustle and bustle here. There are some places to rest and even some views. There is also a small shelter here for emergencies. A nice place!
