The area around the lake is currently being redesigned for flood protection. The water level has dropped, but the trail can still be walked on. At the moment, the "high" bank looks a bit desolate, but the vegetation will certainly beautify it again soon.

Today the water level was so high that you couldn't walk the actual hiking trail and had to wind your way along the slope, which was a bit laborious. Unfortunately the kiosk was also closed.

Exciting for us: The stones for the construction of the New Town Hall in Hanover come from this former quarry.

Beautiful lake. I was here in winter and the dark green color was awesome. There is also a small kiosk here that also sells punch in winter. I will definitely be back in the summer.
