Bring binoculars to better observe the many different birds and animals at Kranichwoog! Also, there are numerous well-designed information panels and a flyer about the "Natura 2000 Kranichwoog Adventure Trail" with lots of explanations! The corresponding website is also highly recommended: www.kranichwoog.de

Especially in summer, Lake Ohmbach is a great place for all ages. There are restaurants, boat rentals, playgrounds, a campsite and plenty of benches. A walk along the shore is about 3 kilometres long.

Except for 1-2 places, all of the roots are easy to drive over. A bit of momentum and a good line should help. When it's wet, however, the places with several thick roots can be tricky.

The Woog & its history: The Scheidenberger Woog, a large lake, was located in what is now Bruch for centuries. The Glan reservoir was drained in 1770 to dry out the Bruch. The Kranichwoog has only existed since 2019; it was created as part of the land consolidation. NATURA 2000 adventure trail & crane tower: The NATURA 2000 adventure trail has existed since 2024 with some information boards along the way. There are also QR codes; if you scan them, you can listen to Rudi the crane telling stories about the path and nature. The Kranichwoog (crane tower) adventure tower has also existed since 2024.
