Founded in 1989 and covering a spacious 700,000 square meters, the "Parc Archéologique Européen de Bliesbruck – Reinheim" doesn't just have the word "European" in its name because it sounds so nice and is intended to be effective advertising, but is in fact a piece of living Europe. Here, something magnificent has been created across borders, as the site extends partly into French territory and another part is located in Germany. The comprehensive exhibition thus not only takes visitors back to the Celtic and Roman past of the region, but also indirectly demonstrates the present and future of peaceful coexistence in Europe, for which national borders are no longer an insurmountable obstacle. A very fun and beautiful trail. Definitely do it, but the descent with its hairpin bends is definitely not easy.

Very beautiful. The Blies is very beautiful in most places. It appeared well-maintained. The path to the shore was mowed. Almost a year after the major flood of 2024, most conditions have returned to normal or been resolved.

The Blies is really wild here.
