There's a recording here, the pure one. I used it for additional help. However, I followed the signs 100%, which resulted in Komoot telling me I'd left the route about eight times. So the route shown here isn't correct. Most importantly, the recording says 890 meters of elevation gain, but it's actually 1500 meters plus.

Founded in 1989 and covering a spacious 700,000 square meters, the "Parc Archéologique Européen de Bliesbruck – Reinheim" doesn't just have the word "European" in its name because it sounds so nice and is intended to be effective advertising, but is in fact a piece of living Europe. Here, something magnificent has been created across borders, as the site extends partly into French territory and another part is located in Germany. The comprehensive exhibition thus not only takes visitors back to the Celtic and Roman past of the region, but also indirectly demonstrates the present and future of peaceful coexistence in Europe, for which national borders are no longer an insurmountable obstacle. The highlight refers to the entire PUR and not the spot on the map. Misleading.

The 8-track is poorly maintained and you can't ride it all the way. The PUR trail a bit further on is still good to ride. Personally, I'm not a fan of trails like that that go up and down over big bumps.

This reddish-brown wooden bridge safely crosses the Blies River and connects the hiking trails on both sides of the border. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers an idyllic view of the river and invites you to pause for a moment. 💡 Tip: Pause for a moment in the middle of the bridge – from here, you can often spot ducks, fish, or even the shy kingfisher.
