A very nice restaurant with a lovely outdoor area. A great place for a break and a snack, they serve coffee and cake, and of course schnitzel and other dishes at a fair price. This is the perfect place to start your hike or mountain bike tour; there's plenty of free parking nearby.

Next to the hut there are a few steps up. From there you have a beautiful view of the Epprechtstein.

The building is now used by the Bavarian State Forests. Here umpteen hiking trails intersect. In the crossing area there is another stone that reminds of the old trade routes. Thus, the area is historically relevant in several ways.

Since June 1st, 2023, the Kornberghaus has reopened with a new tenant. There is a very extensive menu (see photos of mine) and opening hours are 11am-9pm daily…
