A very nice restaurant with a lovely outdoor area. A great place for a break and a snack, they serve coffee and cake, and of course schnitzel and other dishes at a fair price. This is the perfect place to start your hike or mountain bike tour; there's plenty of free parking nearby.

Next to the hut there are a few steps up. From there you have a beautiful view of the Epprechtstein.

Good alternative to road pavement. There are some very beautiful sections of the route around the Schneeberg.

Since June 1st, 2023, the Kornberghaus has reopened with a new tenant. There is a very extensive menu (see photos of mine) and opening hours are 11am-9pm daily…

Alternative route for everyone who is reluctant to have asphalt under their feet and wheels

Steep climb, but definitely worth it to enjoy a nice view from the Backöfele tower over to the Ochsenkopf (if you have a clear view). You should be sure-footed, wear sturdy shoes and drink enough so that you can enjoy a short rest under the tower.
