You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Rhine Valley and the Eifel Mountains from the summit cross above Leubsdorf. A little further down, there's also a bench for giants.

"The basalt cinder volcano Krufter Ofen is located south of Lake Laach. Its steep eastern flank drops to an oval, kettle-like depression. This depression drains into the Neuwied Basin through the so-called Halsgraben. On the east side of this depression, which is also called a "depression" in geomorphological terms, are the cinder volcanoes Heidekopf and Roter Berg. On to the Kaiserberg, up and down are no problem.

From the Kaiserberg you have a magnificent view over the Rhine Valley. The cross is enthroned majestically and an information board explains the basalt mining near Linz. The Donatus chapel is a quiet place of worship.

Beautiful, well-kept hiking trails around the Malberg. Goats are currently grazing there to keep the impassable parts free.
