Gigantic view of the Fichtelgebirge and in the direction of Kirchenlamitz, Rehau, Hof and Schönwald. The tower spirit at the entrance is happy about a small donation, but there is no fixed entrance fee and the tower is open all year round.

The Großer Waldstein in the Fichtelgebirge has a wow effect for me, the mighty rock formations just amaze you. The summit plateau is easy to reach and has a wonderful view in all directions. Since there is a hiking parking lot directly below, it is a good starting point for many hikes.

The cross rock is somewhat hidden. It carries a summit cross, which gave it its name. It can be climbed from the back without any tools. You don't have to climb for this, but you should be sure-footed and not afraid of heights. Extra care is needed when the rock is wet. If there is snow or ice, you should skip the ascent. A summit book can be found in a tin box on the cross, in which you can write your names.

The summit area of the Rudolfstein is characterized by gigantic granite rock formations. One of them carries a climbing facility with stairs and railings. From the top you have a wonderful view of the Fichtelgebirge.

The lookout tower "Schönburgwarte" on the Großer Kornberg is 25 meters high. Any hiker can climb up and enjoy the view, the tower is always open. It is built from local granite.

From the castle ruins you have a panoramic view over the Waldstein range, to the Kornberg, to Schwarzenbach and Oberkotzau to Hof, south over the inner Fichtelgebirge to the Kösseine.

Probably the most beautiful view of the Fichtel Mountains. The atmosphere at the summit is particularly beautiful in the evening.
