The Eixlberg with the pilgrimage church of St. Barbara, the Loretto Chapel and the Emmausklause is one of the most beautiful places in Pfreimd. The church is ideal for pilgrims and hikers to quietly contemplate for a prayer. The Emmausklause is the ideal place to refresh yourself with a hearty snack and half a beer. On foot or by bike, the Eixlberg is worth a visit at any time of the year. Pay attention to the opening times of the hermitage.

Beautiful observation tower with a great view of the surrounding area up to the Bavarian Forest. To enjoy the view you have to pick up the key for the tower at the Gasthaus zum Kulm, the tower is locked. The key hangs in a small wooden box and is freely accessible on a "basis of trust". Adult donation 50 cents, children 20 cents.

The summit cross of the 589m high Kohlbühl is located in the middle of the forest on a small clearing, unfortunately there is no view. The transmitter mast bothers a bit at this rest area with a sofa, but still a nice place for a break.

The Kulm is the local mountain of the historic city of Nabburg. The observation tower is located at the highest point - when you reach the top you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Eixlberg and the Naab valley. You can get the key for the tower at the nearby Gasthaus zum Kulm. We also recommend a stop at the opportunity.

The Eixlberg with the pilgrimage church of St. Barbara is a very popular hiking destination - not least because of the Emmausklause. This is located in the former sacristan's house and is managed and operated by the OWV Pfreimd. The perfect place for a break with a hearty snack and cool Upper Palatinate beer.
