A two-storey small castle house with stepped gables and a gabled roof was originally mentioned in 1332 on the lake shore ("Tegelstein"). It was a castle surrounded by a circular wall with a bailey and a small round tower. In 1839 the castle complex "Weiherschlösschen" was demolished, the moat was filled and today only the remains of the wall of the castle entrance and ground floor, about 3 meters high, as well as a cross keyhole notch in a wall in the area of the Lindenhofpark have been preserved. From today's perspective, you need a little imagination when you stand in front of the Degelstein castle ruins. Degelstein Castle was first mentioned in writing around 1332. After many hundreds of years, only a little of the masonry remains. As old as the walls are, they still rise more than three meters in height. The Weiherschlösschen has been owned by the city of Lindau since 1956.

The former moated castle of Count Ulrich von Montfort was first mentioned in a document in 1344, when Count Ulrich von Feldkirch gave Senftenau Castle to the Emperor as a fief. The complex consisted of the castle and a mill, it came into the possession of changing patrician families after 1356 and was used as a summer residence. The castle has been owned by the Jobst family since 1984[9]. From 1984 to 2008 extensive renovation work and conversions were carried out, the castle pond was cleared out. The castle is not open to the public. The small pond at Senftenau Castle is fed by a piped supply line and by groundwater. There is no drain.
