It is a landscape of particular beauty and character, characterized by the alternation of large open grassland areas with forest and wooded streams, to safeguard the landscape and the recreational function. Since the High Middle Ages, the electoral court kitchen has been supplied with fresh fish from the Herrenwieser Weiher thanks to extensive carp pond farming. Especially during Lent, when eating meat was taboo for believers, fish served as the main source of protein.

Great butterflies and birds can be seen and heard everywhere. In addition to storks, the red-backed shrike has done it to me. So just walk slowly or stop and enjoy 😉
