The Rottauensee, also called Rottstausee or Postmünster reservoir, is a reservoir near Postmünster in the Rottal-Inn district. In 1954, the Rott flooded 7,000 hectares of agricultural land and caused buildings and bridges to collapse. The flood of 1965 also caused damage. The Free State of Bavaria built a retention basin near Postmünster from 1968 to 1973.
