In Pfarrkirchen, I can particularly recommend the Ringallee, which runs parallel to the Ringstrasse, as almost all of the city's highlights can be easily reached from here (e.g. city wall, sculptures, market square, town hall).

The Rottauensee, also called Rottstausee or Postmünster reservoir, is a reservoir near Postmünster in the Rottal-Inn district. In 1954, the Rott flooded 7,000 hectares of agricultural land and caused buildings and bridges to collapse. The flood of 1965 also caused damage. The Free State of Bavaria built a retention basin near Postmünster from 1968 to 1973. At the same time, a hydroelectric power plant with an output of 300 kilowatts and a standard output of 1.1 million kWh per year was built. Of the approximately 300 hectares of lake and shore area, around 20 hectares are biotope areas and 50 hectares are extensively managed meadows, making them home to some rare animal and plant species.
