A beautiful castle

Energy from the sky at Austria's first solar parking lot. In front of the Teesdorf community center, 780 driveable PV modules at the 95 m2 first solar parking lot provide around 16.6 kW peak power. That's equivalent to the electricity consumption of around three to four households.

The Schönau Palace Park is one of the most outstanding landscape parks in Austria; it is therefore designated as particularly worthy of protection in Section 1 of the Austrian Monument Protection Act. The park covers an area of 30 hectares around the famous Habsburg palace of Archduke Otto and the "Red Archduchess". At the heart of the park is the Temple of Night, which is unique in the world: it can only be reached via the mystical "Path of Life", which leads through hidden, underground grotto passages. From the Russian Tsar to Emperor Franz I, all European rulers were once guests here to discover the secrets of this extraordinary complex: wander through the park with its centuries-old giant trees.
