We took a break today on our way back from the Blaueishütte, and I highly recommend stopping there. Delicious food and incredibly friendly and attentive service. If the journey weren't so long for us, we'd definitely come more often. 🥇

The hut is in a fantastic location at the foot of the Watzmannfrau. The hut is open from mid-May to the end of October. You can treat yourself to regional cuisine and also stay overnight. You can find more information and opening times here: https://www.kuehroint.com/.

I like it here because it's not that big, the operators are very friendly and accommodating and because you have a beautiful view. But as I said, I think it's pleasant that it's not a huge hut but small and nice 😇

The promising Watzmannhaus serves as a base for climbing the Watzmann. The hut is open from May to October. There are 200 beds in the dormitory and shared rooms.
