Easy hike in the Chiemgau Alps in Bavaria: The starting point of this leisurely tour is Ruhpolding. From there, it goes up to the Thorau Alm via forest roads. Far away from everyday life, you will be treated to wonderful cheese dishes there. From Ruhpolding, follow path no. 65 to the junction. There, keep left on path no. 66 to the Thorau Alm. The same route takes you back to the starting point. With a bit of luck, you might spot one or two marmots. Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky; the marmots were taking their afternoon nap.

The trail is shown, is given as 25 minutes, goes over steps, in 15 minutes you are at the hut. A tarred, flat path also leads up more widely

Reachable from the middle station in a maximum of 15-20 minutes over a moderate amount of altitude. A stop is combined with a great view of the Hochfelln and good food. The further ascent to the summit was still blocked for us (end of April) because of some snow fields.
