The Schinderhannes cycle path in the Hunsrück is 38 km long and runs as a rail route over the former Hunsrück Railway from Simmern via Kastellaun to Emmelshausen. The path is named after the German robber Johannes Bückler, also known as Schinderhannes, whose raids mainly took place in the Hunsrück.
