Camping within the foundations of a castle ruin? It's possible! And here at Schmidtburg. You can set up camp for the night at the official trekking site and feel like a knight.
The trekking site is on the Soonwaldsteig, but is not operated by the Soonwald-Nahe Nature Park. You can request a reservation from the Schneppenbach local authority at schneppenbach@gmx.de.
A night in this unique location costs 10 euros per tent, 15 euros at the group campsite. You bring your own water, there is a toilet on site.
