Preferably take the route via Sulzkopf, if you are coming from Gaißach, as the standard route recommended by komoot is very muddy.

Summit at 1330m above sea level

The Isar River near Bad Tölz is one of the most beautiful stretches of the river and a highlight of the region. The Isar Cycle Path runs along the river and is ideal for tours – both towards Munich and into the mountains. The Bad Tölz riverside promenade offers a wonderful opportunity to cycle directly along the water and enjoy the view of the Isar. Bad Tölz is truly a beautiful place, captivating with its unique combination of nature, culture, and Bavarian charm. The Isar River dominates the townscape and invites you to cycle or simply take a relaxing break on its banks.

The Rechelkopf is the closest Alpine peak from Munich - an inconspicuous, 1330 m high forest crest. On the ascent and on the summit, however, the forests thin out and there are wonderful deep and distant views. At the summit you can see past the Brauneck to the Höllental glacier and the Zugspitze summit.

Nice place to rest overlooking the city.

From the bridge in the center of Bad Tölz you have a great view of the Isar.

Very nice section along the Isar and opposite the Kalvarienberg. Bad Tölz was first mentioned in a document in 1155.
