This lake was flooded in the 1970s. It's a "miracle" how nature has evolved during this time. It gives us a glimpse of what the Lusatian lake landscape might one day look like.

Beautiful to look at. The small, restored chapel is now used as a Protestant church.

The tempting white sandy beach invites you to take a refreshing dip in the lake!! 🤗 And there's also a decent restroom for when you need to go to the toilet. 👍🏼

A Gothic sandstone cross with recessed arm angles extending to the ends of the arms, creating a rounded overall shape for the cross. The top of the monument is presumably somewhat flattened or worn away by the honing or grinding of medieval cutting or stabbing weapons on 'holy stone' (superstition, see introduction).
