Instead of turning left in the direction of Flaucher, we (Haidhausen) usually turn right in the direction of the Isarauen. Much less bicycle/pedestrian traffic, nice spots (many empty meadows) to linger. On the way back towards the city there are a few beer gardens where you can stop off at the end.

Here you sit on stones and can cool your feet a bit, which is great here. Because the Isar is so loud, you can't hear the people from the Kirsbank. Of course you can't go into the water here. Too strong current.
