Many years ago, you could still swim in it. Today, it's only for anglers.

The Galgenberg above Neuhausen is a small plateau with a pond and beautiful pine trees. There's plenty of space between the trees, and interesting soil features likely mark a turbulent border past. According to the Neuhausen local chronicle, the last death sentence was carried out there in 1793, on a woman who had poisoned her husband.

Today a protected natural monument and important local recreation area, it was once a fire-fighting water reservoir, later it served as an ice lake for breweries and as a body of water for fish farming.

Silbertorsee near Leonberg-Silberberg, which is a habitat for rare birds and plants. A biotope worth seeing, especially in spring and summer, with amphibians and water lilies.

Beautiful and interesting bridge

The "Harp Bridge," a delicate pedestrian and cycle bridge, spans approximately halfway across the Long Lake. It was designed by Schlaich Bergermann and Partners and inaugurated in October 2016. Its total length is 50 m, with a span of 47 m. The pylon is 15 m high, with curved legs in both plan and side views, meeting at the top to form a trapezoidal cross-section. 28 cables support the roadway.
