the step The Stuifen is one of the Three Kaiser Mountains. These three mountains are the Hohenstaufen, the Rechberg and the Stuifen. The step is the only one that is undeveloped. The ruins of the castles built by the noble families Rechberg and Staufen around 1070 are still enthroned on the other two. The geological history of these mountains goes back further. Erosion processes have isolated these three mountains as individual elevations and this is how this beautiful, hilly landscape was created. All three mountains are around 700 meters high. The Stuifen is the highest at 757 meters.

There is a barbecue area and seating on the Stuifen

In contrast to the Rechberg and Hohenstaufen, you cannot stop off on the Stuifen. However, a barbecue area invites you to linger.

Actually a nice place with a great view towards Reichenbach on one side and the Rechberg on the other. Unfortunately one bench is in dire need of repair. Barbecuing is currently prohibited.
