The road “through” the pond is freshly tarred. A real experience to drive through the pond landscape. At the southern end you can even buy fresh fish from the pond.
The Silbersee is a former sand pit that was once also called a shooting pond, which suggests that waterfowl were hunted there. It is a nice place to take a break.
