The Wagbachniederung nature reserve was created from the sewage ponds of a sugar factory that was shut down in 1995 and is one of the most important bird sanctuaries in Germany. Here you can watch the birds very nicely.

More of a hiking destination, with a bike you often can't really get to the beautiful spots. Often the paths are too damp and not passable by bike due to trees that have fallen in the storm. But it is worth getting off your bike here and exploring the area, one of the most beautiful places on the Old Rhine!
