A former tower of the city wall, outlined by stones in the path, we take a detour through the town's alleys to St. Mary's Church, whose origins date back to the early 13th century. We're surprised to find an organ museum inside, with organs from the last three centuries, the smallest being a table-top portable. A little further on, we cross the market square and visit the tourist information office; there's something to read everywhere in town. The niche portals are striking. We reach the Wiesenburger Bridge again, cross the city moat, and walk parallel to the main street between the trees.

Bad Belzig (Belzig until 2010) was first mentioned in a document in 997 as Belizi.

Castle complex with a spacious park worth seeing

The Höhenburg is located on a hill of the Hoher Fläming on the southwestern edge of the district town of Bad Belzig in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg. The roots of the complex go back to a medieval castle from the 12th century, which was replaced by a new castle after a fire in the 16th century. Over the centuries, this was gradually expanded to its current size. The castle received its Neo-Renaissance appearance during renovation work in the 19th century when it was owned by the von Watzdorf family. Used as a school from 1946 and later as a boarding school, the facility was sold to private investors in 1998. approx. 1200/ construction of Rabenstein Castle on the "Steile Hagen". The festival controls the transition of the road from Wittenberg to Brandenburg via the tarpaulin. Today a hotel the restaurant is currently only open on weekends and only then is it possible to climb the tower.
