The Rauscherpark is a particularly scenic part of the Nettetal. Here, water cascades over mighty basalt blocks and over the only natural waterfall on the Nette. 16 illustrated display boards explain the volcanism in the region and how the Nette has been sawing its way through a lava flow from the Wannen volcano group for over 200,000 years.

I often swam here in the summer when I was young. You can also climb the waterfall when the water level is low and jump into the pool from there. But you should only do this if you are fit and you should be able to swim very well!

The waterfall also rushes down into the mill pond during the drought summer of 2022. A fairytale sight that invites you to linger and dream. The picturesque restaurant in the water mill entices you to stop by. Unfortunately closed on Tuesday 😔
