Behind it lies a castle whose origins date back to a moated castle (construction began in 1188/89). The castle was the residence of the first Counts of Hanau-Lichtenberg and is now privately owned and is scheduled to be converted into a 5-star hotel. From the side, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the castle.

The Witches' Tower is one of the preserved towers of the former city fortifications. Next to the Witches' Tower is the oldest half-timbered house in Babenhausen; it was built in 1484.

The name is wrong here. The “Breschturm” got its name from the fact that a cannon ball closed a hole in the tower during an attack on Babenhausen. This created a “breech”.

Babenhausen Castle developed from a castle. The beginnings go back to the 13th century. Today the castle is privately owned and a hotel is to be built here.

The view along the old city wall is simply great. The old town and the old city wall, most of which are still preserved, impressed me the most anyway.
