The Frankfurt Ostpark is a park in the Ostend district of Frankfurt. The park is 32.16 hectares in size, and in its center is the 4.2 hectare Ostpark pond. The pond was created in part of a drained oxbow of the Main, which was not suitable as a building site due to the high groundwater level. The park is characterized by extensive lawns and its sports facilities. The Ostpark is part of the Frankfurt green belt and, after the Volkspark Niddatal, is the second largest park in Frankfurt.
