Approaching the ruins from Fleschützen, it was quite unsatisfying. Access to the inner castle is blocked, and the surrounding walls are overgrown. It's impossible to get a clear view. The ruins are apparently neglected and have been left to their natural state. The sign also suggests this. A shame.

The trails are sometimes very adventurous, but in a very beautiful area. It is safer to bike in dry weather. Unfortunately, a lot of trees block the trail, so you have to lift the bike more than you can ride.

The ruins of the Wolkenberg stand on a hill with a very steep incline. Is very interesting and the masonry is protected by subsequently built over roofs. There is also seating to linger.

An approx. 5-minute climb from the waterway leads to the Neuenburg ruins, there is not much left but it's worth it 👍

Amazing that the ruins are still standing. On closer inspection, it looks like randomly piled stones fixed with crumbly mortar. Not all paths are marked on the map. There are a few more paths up near the Neuenburg that lead past the remaining remains of the wall. There is also a bank that is completely hidden

Wide hiking trail suitable for pushchairs along the Durach to the "Waldschenke" refreshment stop. Great experiences along the way (draw water, slides,...)

A medieval castle and a magnificent baroque chateau once stood here. Only a stone gate and some remains of the wall have survived. The view from the elevation is all the more beautiful.

This castle has its origins on a hill outside of Wildpoldsried around 1200. In the ruins there are still some of them to see with the remains of the ring wall, the palace and the keep.
