We stayed at the hotel there for 5 days and explored the area from there, and we also went to the thermal baths every day.

For example, if you're using komoot, you can also hike a few hundred meters through the Czech Republic. (A path in the wilderness)

You have to see it to believe it. Drinking, or even just tasting, the water costs money!

Great little and modern thermal spa, the only drawback is that the indoor and outdoor areas of the sauna are only connected by the textile area.

The village of Velký Rybník was founded in the Middle Ages as a small farming village near an artificially created fishpond. The village originally consisted mainly of cottages, farms, and a few fishing huts. The village was part of the Egerland / Sudetenland, predominantly German-speaking until 1945. After the forced expulsion of the German population in 1944, most of the buildings were no longer inhabited and some were demolished. The village itself no longer exists. Only a few ruins, foundation walls, and fruit trees remain as reminders of the old settlement.

A donation by the Eger widow Anna Stadelmannin for the "11,000 maidens in the chapel at Schönberg" led to the first documented mention of the Chapel of Saint Ursula in 1426, which ultimately gave the Chapel Hill its name. The almost square chapel, with sides measuring seven and a half meters, was probably built towards the end of the 13th century by brothers of the Teutonic Order, as indicated by its shield, a cross carved at the spring. That the chapel was dedicated to Saint Ursula and her virgins is inferred from the arrow also carved there. This is the symbol of Ursula of Cologne, who, according to legend, was killed by an arrow shot by the Hun king Etzel outside the gates of Cologne in 383 while returning home from a pilgrimage to Rome. Etzel had fallen in love with Ursula and wanted to marry her. She refused, however. The Hun took revenge and killed her and all her companions. 11,000 virgins are said to have taken part in Ursula’s pilgrimage.

Large iron crosses are attached to the trees surrounding the ruins of St. Ursula's Chapel. They are intended to commemorate the chapel's presumed builders in the late 14th century, the Knights of the Teutonic Order. Their emblem was a black cross on a white background. The Roman Catholic religious order, officially known as the "Order of the Brothers of the German House of St. Mary in Jerusalem," is a relic of the Crusades. Recognized by the Pope in 1199, it continues to exist today as a charitable organization in Germany, Austria, Italy (South Tyrol), Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
