This landscape and bird sanctuary is precisely called “Vorderer Roxheimer Altrhein-Krumbeeräcker”, is 25.3 hectares in size and belongs to the Rhine-Palatinate area. An easy-to-walk hiking trail leads around the Altrhein in Roxheim, which runs mainly in the shade/partial shade, with the exception of two short sections on the Regenrücksperrebacken and along the Isenach, and is therefore also suitable for walks on very warm days in summer. It's best in the morning, when it's not that busy and you only meet a few joggers doing their rounds here.
