It is the oldest tunnel in Saxony and runs under the courtyard of the castle. Only a mirror, no traffic light, serves as an orientation aid for drivers when it comes to oncoming traffic, because only one car can just about fit through.

The baroque castle of Lichtenwalde is picturesquely situated in the Zschopautal. The baroque garden with its winding paths and many water features invites you to linger. The castle is one of the "three worth seeing" (Augustusburg, Lichtenwalde Castle and Scharfenstein Castle).
