As of May 20, 2024: still a tricky passage - especially in the direction of the dam (certainly easier to manage in the opposite direction). Unfortunately, no designated alternative route has been set up and there are no warning signs along the way.

The former sand and gravel pit Zaßnitz-Biesern is located about 1.5 km south of Rochlitz. Gravel from the Zwickauer Mulde valley dating to the Saale Ice Age was mined there. There are numerous interesting structures along the banks, such as dead wood, water lily fields, weed beds and sandy shallow water areas. It is a great place for fishing, nude bathing and sunbathing.

The boat dock for the ships is located at the harbor. A trip takes about 1-1.5 hours and costs 12 euros per person.

A very nice experience on a boat trip (12 euros per person/approx. 1 hour). Good catering. View of the lake stage and treetop hotel.
