The cycle path has many beautiful bridges

We cycled along the Romantic Road cycle path for two weeks and admired not only beautiful landscapes but also Germany's most beautiful cities. Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Nördlingen, Donauwörth and Füssen are just a few of these picturesque places. The market square of Tauberbischofsheim is the vibrant center of the city and a popular meeting place for locals and visitors. Surrounded by historic buildings and charming half-timbered houses, the market square offers a unique atmosphere.

There is an official diversion here via the country road on the other side of the Tauber to Niklashausen. Today we drove all the way through it to Niklashausen. The alleged construction site comes later, namely behind Niklashausen. And the bike path is not being renewed, but new water pipes are being laid. Status: 11.06.24 The construction site will certainly move further over time, but if you want to risk it, you can try to drive through here. Locals also drive through here. There is also enough space to possibly avoid someone.

Pretty nice to look at but a bit difficult in terms of cycling. If you are coming from Werbach and want to continue on the cycle path towards TBB after the bridge, it is better to cycle a few metres further and then you can turn left in the curve without a curb.

The bridge is indeed very narrow, if you want to take a photo you should keep your eyes open and be considerate of other road users. The bridge itself is really old, but the sculpture makes for a nice photo opportunity.
