In fact: the architectural and historical landmark of the well-known wine-growing community on the eastern Mainviereck is one of the most famous monuments among the palaces and castles in Franconia. Homburg Castle has been municipally owned since 1869. The Triefenstein market as the current owner had to make a lot of efforts to save the half-timbered building from decay.

Tauberbischofsheim is a very beautiful town in the Tauber Valley. It is really worthwhile to stroll through the streets and see the old town.

Since 1404 at the latest there was a church in Gamburg. In 1567 the conversion to a new parish church on today's town hall square began. Today there are three stone crosses on this square. On the base of the middle cross is written: "Here was the high altar of the old parish church from 1567 to 1895." A pencil drawing of the old church was made by Sir Joseph Archer Crowe shortly before it was demolished in 1896. The original is owned by the Alberts family. From 1720 the first stone bridge was built over the Tauber. From 1845 to 1930, more than 300 Gambburger emigrated to America. With the Lauda–Wertheim railway line, completed in 1868, the town received a station with freight and tourist traffic and thus a connection to the nearest larger towns of Tauberbischofsheim and Wertheim. In 1915 the last of the five gates in the town wall, the Mühlentor, was demolished.
